  • Usually starts by creating a developer “app” on the social network.
  • Pros: Existing profile information can be shared with the application.
  • Pros: There is a study showing that social login increases registration by 90%.
  • Pros: The users don’t have to remember several passwords.
  • Cons: sharing of personal information. Unclear sharing authorizations.
  • Cons: Dependency on the social media account providers.
